✦ How we teach
Seven things we've done every day since 1989.
Children and teachers rarely want to leave. The bonds and social skills that grow from that carry into school and beyond.
Every child has their own strengths and challenges. Open-ended play and many areas of interest let them delve deep into their own ideas while learning from the kids around them.
After morning circle time, cohorts ages 2 to 5 rotate between three zones: STEAM, Arts & Crafts, and Preschool Games. Each zone has its own teacher. Free time opens it all up.
Children learn best when they know they are loved and when teachers are inspired by their uniqueness. Small enough for real attention, big enough for real friendships.
Social and emotional well-being cannot be overstated. We actively teach empathy, compassion, sharing, identifying feelings, emotional regulation, and friendship.
Five teachers, 16 children max, a 1:4 ratio. Teachers can take lunches, appointments, and personal days without disrupting your child's rhythm.
Experience Early Learning Curriculum: a play-based program that weaves 35 skills into games and projects. Aligned with all 50 states' standards, Common Core, NAEYC, and Head Start.
✦ One of our days
Doors open at 6:15 AM. Parents drop off on the way to work or school, often with coffee in hand.
1,600 square feet dedicated to your child. Large windows, space to stretch out and wake up, and a welcome that feels like home away from home.
Five areas inside: entry and cubbies, the infant and toddler room, a kitchen with a cafeteria table seating 16, a carpeted area for circle time and STEAM, and a preschool-style room for games. Room enough for small groups and individual attention.
Inside the fence: a large play structure, covered play kitchen, swings, sandpit, and a track for bikes and trikes. Beyond it: gardens, an orchard to harvest, a field to run, trees to climb, and a watershed.
Infants have their own room inside, but everyone mingles outside, at meals, and during circle time. Older kids nurture; younger kids copy. Three cozy adult swings outside let teachers rock the kids who want to be held.
By the time children age out, they've learned all the academic, social, and emotional skills they need. They're full of confidence and know that school is a place they already belong.
✦ The place
One and four-tenths acres of outdoor learning space, plus 1,600 square feet inside.

Kids plant, water, and harvest what they grow.

Open space for running and climbing.

A pedal loop for bikes, trikes, and kid-sized cars.

Fruit trees the kids have grown up under.

A quieter corner of the property for observing water and wildlife.

Dedicated infant and toddler room plus shared learning space.
✦ Programs
From infancy to kindergarten, every program uses the same nationally renowned curriculum, adapted for each child.
From infancy.
A dedicated room with their own rhythm. They're introduced to the same concepts the older kids are learning, without the pressure to keep up. Low ratios and regular photo updates.
Nationally renowned curriculum.
Academics, listening, STEAM, and traditional preschool. Kindergarten readiness without rushing childhood.
For every kind of kid.
Speech delays, developmental differences, unique learners. We figure out how each child learns and meet them there.
1.4 acres to roam.
Playground, children's garden, orchard, watershed, and a racetrack for bikes and trikes. Plant, water, and harvest all year long.
Paint on the fingers.
Daily projects, seasonal crafts, sensory bins. The kind of mess that becomes fridge art and muscle memory.
Confident, kind, curious.
By the time a child graduates, they know their academics, their friends, and that school is a place they already belong.

First big pile of the year
✦ The one who's been here all along
She knows which four-year-old is about to cry and which one just needs a snack. She kneels next to the kid who isn't talking yet and figures out how they learn best. She texts nervous first-time moms a photo before they've finished their morning coffee.
She built the program around hands-on learning and a nationally renowned curriculum: reading, STEAM, art, and traditional preschool, delivered outside as much as inside. Infants and toddlers get their own room with the same concepts the older kids are learning.
Five teachers, small ratios, and every teacher knows every child's heart. Families stay for a decade. Teachers stay even longer. When people leave here, they remain a part of our family.

Relationships that last years, sometimes decades. One family has enrolled five grandchildren here over 15.5 years. Rabecca learns how each child thinks, sends constant photo updates, and creates an environment kids don't want to leave at pickup.
Yes. Rabecca and her team have a strong track record with speech delays, developmental differences, and unique learning needs. One parent shared that her son's speech, listening, and social engagement improved dramatically because the team took time to figure out how he learns best.
This is the most common feeling families bring through the door. The team keeps constant communication: photos, updates, and stories throughout the day, plus the extra reassurance that makes drop-off feel manageable.
A mix of structured learning and play: early reading, art projects, outdoor exploration, gardening, storytime on the play mats, and sensory play. It feels natural, not rigid.
Inside: 1,600 square feet dedicated to childcare, with a separate room for infants and young toddlers. Outside: 1.4 acres with a playground, children's garden, orchard, watershed, and a racetrack where kids pedal bikes and trikes as their skills grow.
A team of five, all with us for six or more years. Kids break into smaller groups through the day, but every teacher knows and cares for every child. Outside, mixed-age time lets older kids mentor younger ones and gives younger kids role models to look up to.
